Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: East Africa south to Sodwana Bay, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Transparent with stellate spots about head; pupils rosy (Ref. 4329). Developed gillrakers 7-8.
