Family:  Chaetodontidae (Butterflyfishes)
Max. size:  15 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 40 - 100 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: known only from St. Paul's Rocks.
Diagnosis:  Chocolate brown overall with triangular white patch on upper rear corner of body and adjacent dorsal fin; caudal fin white; lateral line scales silver (Ref. 47838).
Biology:  Found on vertical rock faces (Ref. 13121). Usually in small aggregations of up to about 6 individuals (Ref. 47838). Oviparous (Ref. 205). Form pairs during breeding (Ref. 205).
