Distribution:  South America: Araguaia and Tocantins tributaries of the Amazon.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 18-19; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-16; Vertebrae: 26-28. Body with four brown dorsal saddles (Ref. 26631).
Biology:  Found in rivers (Ref. 26631).
