Family:  Loricariidae (Armored catfishes), subfamily: Rhinelepinae
Max. size:  22.3 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Mucuri and São Mateus River basins.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Currently known from three coastal river drainages in southeastern Brazil. Usually found in stretches of river with mid to strong water current and rocky or sandy bottom; although some specimens were collected from a lentic habitat (Ref. 43112).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 07 November 2018 Ref. (130435)
