Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 214 - 800 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Bay of Bengal to the South China Sea and Indonesia (Ref. 9792).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 56-61; Anal soft rays: 46-50; Vertebrae: 38-39. Body depth 1.9 to 2.6 times in SL. Upper-jaw length 3 to 3.5 times in head length (Ref 12933).
Biology:  Rare. Feeds on small benthic animals.
