Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: seasonal pools of the rio Xingu drainage, rio Amazon basin in Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal soft rays: 14-16; Vertebrae: 25-27
Biology:  Inhabits seasonal pools (Ref. 57947).
