Family:  Leuciscidae (Minnows), subfamily: Leuciscinae
Max. size:  6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: stream Čikola in Krka drainage, Croatia.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 36-38. Diagnosed from its congeners by the possession of the following characters: mouth terminal; body naked, no scales except for midlateral row and a few scales above lateral line behind head; 18-45 total scales in midlateral row, lateral line often interrupted posteriorly, with 16-29 pored scales, ending between pelvic fin base and almost end of caudal peduncle; caudal fin shallowly forked, with round lobes (Ref. 59043).
Biology:  Inhabits streams with slow current. Spawns in June. Threatened due to water abstraction and pollution (Ref. 59043).
