Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: endemic to Australia.
Diagnosis:  Frontals, parietals, and infraorbital bones heavy armored. Interorbital with a wide depression. Pelvic fin insertion well behind pectoral fin base (Ref. 39602).
Biology:  Found inshore, in soft bottom.
