Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: St. Francis, White and Ouachita River drainages in Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana, USA. Formerly in lower Wabash River in Indiana and Illinois, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in fast gravel runs of clear, medium-sized rivers.
