Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: occurs only in New River drainage above Kanawha Falls in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina in the USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits gravel and rubble runs and riffles of small to medium rivers.
