Family:  Leuciscidae (Minnows), subfamily: Leuciscinae
Max. size:  5 cm SL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 6 years
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Lake Ohrid and Skadar basins (Albania and Macedonia, Montenegro). Also in Morinjska drainage in Montenegro (Ref. 59043).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in lakes and brooks, in shallow still waters (Ref. 59043). Is threatened due to pollution (Ref. 26100).
