Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 100 - 500 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Oregon to southern California in the USA (Ref. 265). Also in Mexico (Ref. 2941).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-17; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-18; Vertebrae: 35-38
Biology:  Mesopelagic (Ref. 31442). Oviparous, with planktonic eggs and larvae (Ref. 31442).
