Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 5 - 40 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southwestern Australia between the Recherché Archipelago and Rottnest Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-14; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-16; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 15-16
Biology:  Adults inhabit rocky reefs (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
