Family:  Cobitidae (Spined loaches)
Max. size:  10 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin and southeastern Thailand.
Diagnosis:  Presence of 8-11 broad, quadrangular and very regular black bars on orange background; entirely black caudal fin or with a large black base blotch and a subterminal black bar or row of spots (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Found in lowland stream and peats (Ref. 57235). Size up to 10 cm SL in aquarium-reared individuals (Ref. 43281). Popular aquarium fish (Ref. 57235).
