Family:  Oxynotidae (Rough sharks)
Max. size:  54 cm TL (male/unsexed); 64.5 cm TL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 150 - 300 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan and Taiwan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Holotype trawled from a depth between 225 and 270 m (Ref. 31258). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Vulnerable (VU); Date assessed: 30 August 2019 (A2d) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
