With 16-21 premaxillary and 13-18 dentary teeth on each jaw element; 2 or more series of ventrally downturned odontodes on anteroventral rostral margin; supraoccipital odontode crests short, low, orbit small, diameter less than infraorbital depth; abdomen with 2-3 paired lateral plates; pair of preanal platelets preceded by 2 or more additional platelets, with small naked areas between platelets; unbranched caudal-fin rays banded; large brown blotch on median caudal-fin rays, two dark brown oblique bars on caudal fin. | |||
