| Diagnosis: | Juveniles are bright yellow, with small black dots and pale blue dots. The black dots disappear as the fish grows, the pale blue dots enlarge. Adults are yellow and blue, having pale blue spots on each plate. | |||
| Biology: | Occurs near shore (incl. semi-enclosed sea areas) on rock bottoms (Ref. 11230). | |||
