Family:  Adrianichthyidae (Ricefishes), subfamily: Oryziinae
Max. size:  6.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; pH range: 7.5 - 8.5, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Endemic to Lake Poso, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-11; Anal soft rays: 23-25. Distinguished from all other species of the genus by its upturned mouth. Differs further by having 45-54 scales in lateral row, 8-11 dorsal rays and 23-25 anal rays (Ref. 26747).
Biology:  Non-annual breeder. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
