Distribution:  North America: Arkansas River drainage in USA: Spring River in southwestern Missouri and southeastern Kansas; Cottonwood and Neosho rivers in eastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma; lower few miles of Illinois River in eastern central Oklahoma.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in gravel riffles and runs of small to medium rivers.
