Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 1 - 2 m
Distribution:  North America: Alabama and Black Warrior River systems in southeastern Tennessee, northwestern Georgia and Alabama, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky, sandy pools and runs of creeks and small rivers (Ref. 5723, 10294).
