| Biology: | Inhabits temporary pools and channels in and around foothills of the Nuba mountains and bordering the Sudd wetland; feeds on cladocerans, copepods, ostracods and insects (Ref. 28714). Annual species; eggs resist desiccation during dry season (Ref. 97278). Bottom spawner, 3-6 months incubation (Ref. 27139). Sexual maturity reached in 5 weeks (Ref. 59344). | |||
