Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  34.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; depth range - 25 m
Distribution:  Europe and Asia: Caspian Sea.
Biology:  Never enters freshwaters (Ref. 26334). Only found in brackish waters. Due to large their large size, have certain commercial value in some areas and are popular for sport fishers (Ref. 92840).
