Family:  Zoarcidae (Eelpouts), subfamily: Lycodinae
Max. size:  21.1 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 3 - 90 m
Distribution:  Arctic: White Sea and southern parts of the Kara Sea; Laptev Sea, Novosiberian Isles, near the mouth of the Kolyma River, Chukchi Sea and near Herschel Island in the Beaufort Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on shallow, inshore soft bottoms, mostly in brackish waters with salinities of about 15-27 ppt. (Ref. 4695). Benthic (Ref. 58426). Feeds on isopods, bivalves, polychaetes (Ref. 4695).
