Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Labeoninae
Max. size:  24 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Chao Phraya (Thailand) and Mekong basins.
Diagnosis:  Body long, slender; fins with long, falcate tips; 3 stripes down middle of caudal peduncle; 6+25 gill rakers on anterior side of first arm (Ref. 12693).
Biology:  Inhabits large and medium-sized rivers. Feeds on periphyton and phytoplankton (Ref. 12693).
