Family:  Liparidae (Snailfishes)
Max. size:  30.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 73 - 225 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: eastern Aleutian Islands to Puget Sound, Washington. Records from the Bering Sea, western Aleutian Islands, and Sakhalin Island are questionable.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 37-40; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 30-34. Caudal narrow and rounded. Pectorals with a rounded upper part and the lowest rays lengthened to form a notch.
Biology:  Inhabits subtidal to 225 meters (Ref. 51661). Feeds on crustaceans (Ref. 4925).
