Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 370 - 916 m
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic and Western Indian Ocean: off Natal and off the west coast of South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 59-65; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 49-52. Body greyish-pink in color, vertical fins darker (Ref. 6606).
Biology:  Found on the continental slope. Rarely collected. Minimum depth reported from Ref. 57178.
