Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7 - 8.5; dH range: 10 - 15; depth range 1 - 5 m,
Distribution:  Africa: Endemic to Lake Malawi. Indigenous to Likoma Island; introduced in Thumbi West Island.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs over rocky substrate (Ref. 6307).
