Max. size:  26.7 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 275 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: off Kenya.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 139-139. The species has the following characters: snout short, bluntly rounded; posterior nostril opening ventrally from a tube on upper lip behind labial flange; maxillary and mandibular teeth biserial anteriorly, uniserial posteriorly, compressed and incisor-like, closely appressed (Ref. 50529).
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
