Max. size:  9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: Jándula system, Guadalquivir drainage in Spain.
Diagnosis:  Diagnosed from its congeners by having 53-58 + 2-3 scales on lateral line, 5-6 scale rows between lateral line and pelvic origin and eye diameter 0.7-1.0 times snout length (Ref. 59043).
Biology:  Inhabits clear water with sand and rock bottom in stretches with slow current and underwater vegetation. Reaches up to about 9 cm SL (Ref. 59043).
