Family:  Triakidae (Houndsharks), subfamily: Galeorhininae
Max. size:  57.684 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 0 - 183 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Gulf of Aden to sw India.
Diagnosis:  This species is characterized by the following: very slender body, unspotted and bronzy; head short, eyes large, gills large; small and low dorsal fins, origin of first dorsal over pectoral fin base; small pectoral fins; small ventral caudal fin lobe. Colour dark brown dorsally and lighter ventrally (Ref. 114967).
Biology:  Occurs in outer continental shelf and upper slope, semi-pelagic (Ref. 114967).
