Adults inhabit mud- to gravel-bottomed pools and runs of small to large, low-elevation rivers and lakes. Usually occurs near emergent aquatic plants or overhanging banks. They rarely enter brackish water (Ref. 86798). Viviparous, female carries the developing young (Ref. 205). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106). |
