Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 4 - 24 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea, Djibouti, Mozambique, southern Oman, and Pakistan. One specimen from the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 10-10. Caudal fin rounded, longer than head; pelvic fins fully separated; posterior nasal tube subequal to anterior tube; second dorsal-fin rays usually I,11; pectoral- fin rays usually 15-16; posterior opercular border with light edge (Ref. 57078).
