Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Vogelkop Peninsula and Bomberai Peninsula in Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 12-13
Biology:  Found in rocky creeks and small rivers flowing through rainforest. Adults congregate in deep holes below rapids. Eggs are guarded and fanned by the male parent (Ref. 205).
