Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7; dH range: 8 - 15
Distribution:  Asia: India and Bangladesh.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in slow-moving hill streams with sandy bottom (Ref. 4833), rivers and beels (Ref. 1479). A very sluggish fish.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 October 2009 Ref. (123251)
Threat to humans:  harmless
