Biology: | Occurs in offshore areas over both sand and mud (Ref. 4983). May inhabit exposed or relatively protected localities. An examination of the gut contents of a few specimens suggests that H. schubotzi is insectivorous but the extent of its dependence on this food source needs confirmation (Ref. 558). | |||
