Max. size:  5.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Turkana (Rudolf).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Is confined to the shallow and protected inshore areas of the lake although there is a population inhabiting a crater lake on Central Island (Ref. 558).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 31 January 2006 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
