Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in the littoral zones, particularly where the substrate is hard (sand or shingle), less frequently over mud (Ref. 4983). Feeds on mollusks and insects (Ref. 558).
