Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range - 15 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria and Lake Kwania (Kyoga system).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in the littoral and sublittoral areas. Most specimens were caught over a hard substrate (sand, shingle and rock), few over mud (Ref. 4983). Feeds on fish embryos or larvae (Ref. 558).
