Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shallow beaches (Ref. 4983). The stomach of one specimen which was examined contained recently fertilized cichlid ova, while numerous small fish vertebrae were found in the posterior intestine (Ref. 558).
