Family:  Cichlidae (Cichlids), subfamily: Pseudocrenilabrinae
Max. size:  8.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 13 - 60 m
Distribution:  Africa: Lake Victoria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  All six specimens were collected from a trawl haul made over both hard and soft substrates (Ref. 4983). The stomach and intestine of the one specimen which was examined were filled with blue-green algae, diatoms and other algaceous material (Ref. 558).
