Max. size:  13 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 23 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: the Galapagos and Malpelo islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in a wide range of habitats, from boulder strewn slopes and reefs to ledges and undercuts along wall faces (Ref. 5227). Feeds on crustaceans and small fishes. Males are territorial. During the spawning season, the males often engage in aggressive activity with other males of the same species (Ref. 28023).
