Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 11 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Pismo Beach in central California, USA to central Baja California, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-12; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-10; Vertebrae: 28-29. Branchiostegal rays: 6 (Ref. 36496).
Biology:  Found in intertidal and shallow subtidal areas (Ref. 36496). Oviparous, with planktonic larvae (Ref. 36496). Eggs are attached under rocks and cobble and guarded by a parent (Ref. 36496).
