Family:  Gobiesocidae (Clingfishes and singleslits), subfamily: Gobiesocinae
Max. size:  6.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Bahamas and Texas, Florida, (USA) to northern South America. Antilles, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman, Isla de Providencia, Panama, Venezuela (Ref. 26938).
Diagnosis:  No lobes on upper lip (Ref. 26938).
Biology:  Most common on limestone rocks and ledges in clear shallow water.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 21 March 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
