Max. size:  4.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California to Ecuador. Western Central Atlantic: brackish water in the estuaries of Río Tuxpan, Veracruz, Mexico (Ref. 27659).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky reefs (Ref. 11482). Feeds on zooplankton, algae, and small benthic invertebrates (Ref. 11482).

Threat to humans:  harmless
