Family:  Congridae (Conger and garden eels), subfamily: Congrinae
Max. size:  38 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 383 - 387 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 129-135. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: 129-135 vertebrae; elevated pores in the anterior portion of the body lateral line; 6 suborbital; 3 preopercular and 31-35 preanal pores; black-margined vertical fins; caudal fin black in distal half; black stomach; swim bladder extending far beyond anus (Ref. 137521).
