Family:  Carcharhinidae (Requiem sharks)
Max. size:  100 cm TL (male/unsexed); 175 cm TL (female)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: northern Australia and New Guinea (Ref. 84281).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found presumably inshore. Largest whole specimen collected was that of a female with maturity unknown, 175 cm TL. Large sets of jaws examined indicate that size can attain up to 2 m and possibly 3 m (Ref. 76952). Viviparous (Ref. 50449). Biology poorly known.
