Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 7.2
Distribution:  Oceania: known only from the Minarjewi River basin, Timika Region, New Guinea, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common in forest streams in Timika region, Papua New Guinea. Inactive during the day, usually hovering in sheltered locations, frequently among plants, aquatic (50% ground cover, e.g. Vallisneria, Limnophilia), tree roots, and dead branches.
