Max. size:  6.8 cm FL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Oceania: endemic to New Zealand.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal soft rays: 8-10; Vertebrae: 47-55
Biology:  Spawning occurs from September to December (Ref. 33843).
