Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Obion and Forked Deer River drainages (Mississippi River basin) in western Kentucky and western Tennessee, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sand and gravel-bottomed pools of headwaters, creeks and small rivers (Ref. 5723); also found in streams (Ref. 10294). Feeds on midge larvae (Ref. 10294).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 30 December 2011 Ref. (130435)
