Family:  Percidae (Perches), subfamily: Etheostomatinae
Max. size:  7.6 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: occurs only in the upper Roanoke River drainage in Virginia and North Carolina in the USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky riffles of creeks and small rivers.
